[Call for Papers] Workshop on the Current Socio-Economic Development and Exchange in North Korea (Feb. 15, 2024)

The Comenius University Bratislava is encouraging scholars to contribute insights on the current inter-Korean development. Possible to join as listener!

The organizing committee for the online workshop on February 15, 2024 is calling for papers. It will be hosted by the Kangwon Institute for Unification Studies of the Kangwon National University and the ComeniusUniversity Bratislava.

Submission details:

  • Topics: Current inter-Korean exchange projects, development cooperations; NGOs and organizations fostering inter-Korean exchange / humanitarian aid; North Korean defectors and their business/entrepreneurship and socioeconomic integration in South Korea among other topics.
  • Aim: We seek to facilitate in-depth discussions and insights into key topics including inter-Korean exchange, development cooperations, and the integration of North Korean defectors in South Korea.
  • Submission deadline: Send your intention of participation and your abstract (approx. 500 words) to marianne.franziska.jung@uniba.sk or whjung727@gmail.com by Feb. 8, 2024.

The workshop welcomes contributions from young to established scholars and practitioners, with the possibility of networking, joint research projects and publications.
